Cooking spray
1 loaf French bread, 16 oz., cubed
1 8 oz package cream cheese, cubed
1 cup diced turkey ham OR
7 slices crisp-cooked turkey bacon
1 4 oz can chopped green chilies, drained
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
10 eggs
1-3/4 cups milk
1 teaspoon dry mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray an 11 x 7 x 1-1/2 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Tear apart French bread if it's not cubed and layer with cream cheese*, ham or bacon, shredded cheeses, and chilies in the baking dish. Beat together eggs, milk and dry mustard. Pour over the layers. Chill for 2-24 hours. If you don't have time to chill, it can be baked right away. Bake at 350°F oven for 45-50 minutes or until knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Tip: It's best to spread the cream cheese over the bread with a knife.
