State Fair Norbest Turkey Cooking Contest:
Any individual who is 19 years of age or older, may enter this contest. The contest is held at the Expo Building, Nebraska State Fair, usually the Wednesday after the first weekend of the fair's start date. Participants must prepare off site a turkey food dish that is unique in flavor, appearance, appetizing, and blends well with other foods. The turkey dish can be a main entree, appetizer, soup, or sandwich. First, second, and third place winners are selected and are given appropriate prizes. Prizes will be presented following the contest.
